Stanford Student Outreach

Science and Enviromental Education - SEED

SEED is a Stanford student organization dedicated to sharing our enthusiasm about natural science with the youth of East Palo Alto through hands-on lessons. We hope to help the children open their eyes to the world in which they live. SEED puts a strong emphasis upon environmental science to educate, rather than instill fear in the students. SEED is only a 3 - 5 hour commitment each week. Stanford student volunteers work in groups of 3 or 4 in your adopted class of 20+ Elementary School students. Kids really look forward to when SEED comes to school each week, and so do our volunteers! Visit the program website to see how you can get involved!
